PCRL, the serviced site master developer, is a £1bn Joint venture regeneration project between Thurrock Council, as landowner, Sanctuary Housing, as housing provider, Urban Catalyst as DM, and Keltbray as the infrastructure contractor.

Purfleet on Thames is located within the Essex controlled Borough of Thurrock, is very close to the M25, the river Thames and has a c2c rail station which provides direct access into Fenchurch Street station in less than 30 mins.

While the wider Purfleet area does have a small residential population, it is predominantly an industrial and logistics hub, due to its history as an operational port and its continued links with key vehicle infrastructure routes.

The scheme hopes to deliver a creative hub on the River Thames surrounded by a new town centre with shops and restaurants, up to 2,850 new homes, an integrated medical centre, a new rail station for c2c, a new primary school and over 1,000,000 square feet of film and TV production studios.
