Charles Jones
Charlie is a Chartered Planning and Development Surveyor and Chartered Town Planner with experience delivering residential, mixed-use and regeneration projects across London, Bristol and the South East. His expertise spans the front end of the development process, from feasibility and development appraisal through planning strategy, land acquisition, stakeholder engagement and consultant management to securing planning consents and delivery strategies.
Charlie joined aspireDM from the City of London Corporation, where he acted at Development Manager level within the City Surveyor's Department, advising on the optimisation of corporate property assets through redevelopment, refurbishment, disposal and acquisition. He led feasibility studies, managed multidisciplinary consultant teams, prepared development briefs and financial appraisals, and supported the delivery of complex development strategies. His experience includes projects such as The London Archives redevelopment, the disposal and joint venture strategy for 20–21 Aldermanbury, and development opportunities at West Ham Park.
Prior to this, Charlie worked at Bristol City Council, managing housing and mixed-use development projects from inception through to contract and start on site. He played a key role in the redevelopment of Hengrove Leisure Park, delivering a 328-home residential-led scheme, while also advising on land disposals, development agreements and planning strategies to support the Council's wider regeneration and housing objectives.
With dual professional qualifications in planning and surveying, Charlie combines strong commercial awareness with planning expertise to help clients unlock development opportunities. His experience across both the public and private sectors enables him to balance commercial, planning and legal considerations to deliver practical, commercially focused development solutions.
