John Lewis will open a new department store in Cheltenham in 2018, following a combined investment of over £30m from the company, Cheltenham Borough Council and site owners, BlackRock Real Estate.
The plan will see the Beechwood Shopping Centre in Cheltenham, which has been owned by the BlackRock UK Property Fund for 15 years, transformed into a John Lewis department store, showcasing fashion, homewares and consumer electronics. The shopping centre frontage is set to be redesigned as part of the scheme while the existing car park will be remodelled.
